Follow these steps after buying a replacement remote, or if your remote has stopped controlling your fan.
Step 1: Turn off the power
- With a wall switch: turn it off and leave it off for at least 10 seconds.
- Without a wall switch: switch off the circuit breaker, or unplug the fan if possible, for at least 10 seconds.
Step 2: Turn the power back on and pair
- Restore power to the fan.
- Within 10 seconds, press and hold the FAN ON/OFF button (button #4) and the LIGHT ON/OFF button (button #2) at the same time.
- Listen for the beeps:
- 1 beep: pairing complete
- 2 beeps: unpairing complete
Step 3: If it didn't work
Repeat the steps. Timing is key, so press the buttons within 10 seconds of restoring power.
Once paired, you can use one or two remotes to control one or two fans.
